The Leads tool in Buildr serves as your team's central database for tracking leads. All potential pursuits and leads can be entered directly into Buildr. Your team can manage assigned and unassigned leads, collaborate in the comments, plan next steps, and create opportunities from your leads.

Get Started

Begin by navigating to the Leads tab in CRM. Here, you will be directed to your inbox. This inbox will be your database for creating, managing, and prioritizing your leads.

To create a new lead, click "New Lead."

Enter the name of the project and any additional lead details (Note: The only field required for lead creation is the Project Name).

Once you have entered your lead information, click "Create." Your new lead will now appear in your inbox.

Manage Your Inbox

Maintain an "Inbox Zero" approach to your potential pursuits to ensure that you and your team are proactively tracking your leads and preventing any potential opportunities from falling through the cracks.

Lead Status

On the left-hand side of your inbox, you will see a list of tabs (see below):

  • My Inbox: Leads that are open and assigned to you

  • Priority: Any team leads that are marked as priority

  • Mentioned: Any leads that you have been mentioned or tagged in

  • Unassigned: Any unassigned leads

  • Snoozed: Any leads that are currently snoozed

  • Archived: Any leads that have been archived or moved to Opportunities

  • All: All assigned and unassigned leads

Teammates

Additionally, you will see your team members listed under Teammates. Here, you can view any leads that are assigned to your team members.

Leads by Division

If you have Divisions enabled in your account, you can filter your tabs by division to view leads associated with your workspaces.

Lead Details

To view lead information, simply click on the desired lead in your personal or team inbox. Here, you can view and edit project details, add attachments, leave comments, or perform action items.

At the top of the overview page, you will see five action items:

  • Snooze: Snooze the lead until you're ready to follow up. You will receive an email notification when the lead is reopened.

  • Archive: Archive leads that you are no longer actively pursuing.

  • Priority: Flag high-priority leads in your inbox.

  • Edit: Edit or add project information.

  • Create Opportunity: Turn your lead into an opportunity when you are ready to pursue the project.

Collaborate on Leads

Buildr makes it easy for your team to collaborate on potential pursuits. Everyone on your team can view all assigned and unassigned leads in the team inbox. Utilize the comments section to add notes, tag team members, or add attachments.

Create an Opportunity

Once you are ready to turn a lead into an opportunity, navigate to the top of the lead overview page and select "Create Opportunity."

Enter any additional project information (Note: Opportunity Name, Company, and Stage will be required fields).

Finally, click "Save." Your opportunity will now be viewable in the Opportunities tab. Additionally, the lead will be archived with a "Project Created" status (see below).

Once converted, Buildr will automatically migrate relevant fields into the project, including any comments and attachments included on the lead.
